A Story of one Emigrant Family

In Krokvåg village and Ragunda Parish an old house was built in the middle of 1800´s. It was a log cabin (house) made by fir from the nearby woods. The first family in this place was Carl Olsson and his wife Martha Lisa Ersdotter. They had a daughter, Ingeborg, who married Erik Olof Yngve in the same village.
The whole family was members of the Baptist Church in the area.
1889 decided the family to emigrate to North America. They sold the property to a timber company and moved to Cedarhome, Stanwood, Washington in the USA. They built a new log cabin, who is still standing.
Erik Olof Yngve became a secretary in the Cedarhome Baptist Church, but passed away in May 1900 only 46 years old. His family stayed in Washington except for one girl who married and moved back to Sweden.
Together with her husband they settled on one of the islands in the Baltic Sea - Gotland.
